The Moving Company were proud sponsors of Les Mills City 2 Surf 2023 – Canterbury’s largest annual fun run which took place on Sunday 19th March.
Every year thousands of people participate in the iconic run in Christchurch choosing either the 6 km or 12 km course to walk, jog or run taking in scenic views alongside the Avon River through to the finish line at Rawhiti Domain.
Anyone entering these events would know it is best to run and walk with as little as possible. Sometimes holding onto items can slow you down, and it isn’t always practical to run or walk carrying a backpack. This is where The Moving Company Christchurch were able to assist providing a bag drop service.
On the day we had two moving trucks at the City 2 Surf dedicated to providing transportation of participants bags from the start of the 6 km and 12 km events to the finish line where bags were ready for collection.
This is the 5th year The Moving Company have been lending a hand to help City 2 Surf with their annual event. A big congratulations to everyone who participated in Les Mills City2Surf 2023!

Such a lovely young woman and the rest of her team was also great. Always helpful, on time, polite, great sense of humour. Gareth was always on top of things and we couldn't have asked for an easier move. The guys here were wonderful also. Very helpful, polite, and very hard working. Thank you all for such a great experience and we look forward to using you again on the way back to NZ!!!"
