About the Role:

At The Moving Company, we’re seeking a Warehouse Day Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic Auckland operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with overseeing and coordinating the daily activities within our warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of customer goods, maintaining a safe and organised work environment, and facilitating seamless transitions in our storage processes.

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the timely storage and transit of all containers, with direct supervision of loading and unloading operations.
• Coordinating with other branches to fulfil customer order requirements and delivery schedules.
• Optimising warehouse layout and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintaining the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation standards of the warehouse and yard.
• Conducting weekly forklift checks and facilitating toolbox talks.
• Coordinating access and requirements for NZ Customs and MPI Biosecurity inspections.
• Ensuring that customer goods are not released until outstanding charges are settled.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Possesses prior experience in warehousing.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet.
• Is proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Has knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety procedures.
• Exhibits computer literacy skills and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures, including MPI requirements.
