Save the Kiwi is the only national charity dedicated solely to protecting New Zealand’s beloved kiwi. Their mission is simple but powerful: to grow kiwi populations and return them to safe places in the wild, where they can live and thrive without the threat of predators.
Through the development of predator-free habitats, partnership with iwi, and a network of passionate volunteers, Save the Kiwi has helped give thousands of kiwis a fighting chance. With less than 70,000 kiwis left in the wild and their numbers declining, so we are excited to be part of this programme.

We were delighted to receive a unique opportunity from Save the Kiwi – the chance to name a kiwi chick being cared for at the Gallagher Kiwi Burrow.

JP’s name carries exactly that: a genuine story of someone who embodied dedication, friendship, and the spirit of our company.
Our involvement goes beyond sponsorship – it’s about helping protect young kiwi as they grow strong and prepare for life in the wild. One of these chicks is MC, a kiwi we’ve had the privilege of supporting on her journey from the Napier Kiwi Crèche to her new home in Maungataniwha.
